Competitive Aquatics at the Y

The YMCA of Greenwich is the premier aquatics facility in the area. It is home to three highly competitive and nationally ranked teams: Marlins Dive Club, Marlins Swim Team, and Greenwich Aquatics Water Polo.

We are extremely proud of the more than 500 athletes who compete under the YMCA banner, many of whom go on to compete at the collegiate level.

Each of these teams practice in the YMCA of Greenwich’s 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic pool.

As the #1 program outside California and most elite program on the East Coast, Greenwich Aquatics athletes are highly sought after by collegiate coaches, many of which are top 10 water polo schools. The mission of Greenwich Aquatics is to develop young players’ water polo skills so they may participate in college water polo and succeed as scholar-athletes, excelling in the classroom, swimming pool, communities, and families, while enhancing and developing sportsmanship.

Aquatic Membership

As frequent facility users, our Youth Aquatic membership is required for those who participate in a competitive aquatics team (except for Noodle Water Polo, Novice 3 Swim, and Learn To Dive).

We encourage parents of competitive aquatic athletes to become YMCA members so the entire family can enjoy our facilities together. While your children are practicing and competing, you can take advantage of our state-of-the-art fitness centers, group exercise classes, and recreational activities. Becoming a member allows you to make the most of your time, stay active, and enjoy quality family moments at the Y. Join us and discover how the YMCA can benefit your whole family, creating a healthier and more connected community.
