I hope this email finds you healthy and safe.

Some quick updates related to Winter Camp/Youth Programming, another pending weather event, 2021 parking passes and an update on Reservation System.

February 8 – 15 Schedule – with the upcoming school holiday break, we are offering Winter Recess Camp – see further details here. Groups are filling rapidly so please contact Diana Gonzalez at dgonzalez@gwymca.org. Further, please note that the Winter Youth Programs have a scheduled break during this time period. That said, Swim School is offering make-up lessons during this time period. If you have any questions about a scheduled makeup, please email Jacobo Romero at swimschool@gwymca.org

Pending Storm This Weekend – the current weather forecast has another snow event coming our way that begins Saturday night through Sunday evening. Forecast has bounced between nonevent to 5-7 inches of snow. We will be monitoring and will keep you informed. Please check your email, our website and social media for updates about potential early closures and/or late openings.

Parking Passes – due to some challenges with our printer, we have been delayed in issuing our 2021 Parking Passes. We will begin the process this Monday, February 8. Please visit the Front Desk to receive your pass.

Reservation System Update – last week, I sent a follow up message when our App provider changed the lead time from 2.5 days to 1.5 days when they moved to systemically opening at 8 PM. As we have been making many changes to system as of late, we decided to maintain the current 1.5 day lead time for a period of time.

As for the glitch where multiple people confirmed for same reservation, it appears that the issue is the handoff between the App and back-end Google Calendar. We are following up with Google but may take some time. Further, have continued to field questions on how to confirm. Key is to reserve, close the App, reopen and check View All Classes.

We have been lobbying to relieve lane restrictions for same household sharing. The good news is that it appears that some traction has been gained in these efforts. Stay tuned.

Stay healthy and safe!
