Fall Prevention Class
Members will learn to recognize risks that contribute to falling. By discussing them and recognizing simple changes we can make to our daily lives, hopefully together we can stop some falls before they happen.
In addition, the instructor will discuss and demonstrate the correct steps that should be followed upon falling, how to keep yourself safe while you are on the ground, as well as how to get up off the floor.
In the final portion of the class, the participants will practice important exercises designed specifically to improve your balance, train your body to recognize when you are tripping and slipping, and how to get yourself back on both feet before falling happens.
