  • Captain Bill Cannata (Retired) of the Westwood, Massachusetts Fire Department and Current Program Director of the Autism Law Enforcement Coalition (ALEC)
  • Sgt. Brent Reeves, member of the Special Victims Section of the Greenwich Police Department, discussing
    police data services, responding to missing special victims and the SafetyNet Tracking System
  • Linda Talbert, Abilis Director of Therapeutic and Advisory Services

FEE: Free of charge to all attendees.
This session is designed for families and caregivers of those diagnosed with ASD.

Participants will learn:

  • To prepare for an emergency involving a person with ASD
  • How to identify characteristics and behaviors of a person with ASD
  • How to effectively communicate with a person with ASD
  • Discuss special tactics, rescue techniques and care
  • Fire and Life Safety Education and safety drills
